Prom Photo Booth Hire: A Guide for Schools, Colleges & PTAs

In short: For proms and summer balls, choose a booth that fits large groups (our Super Booth takes up to 10 people), unlimited prints so every student goes home with photos, an attendant who stays all night, and a supplier with public liability insurance and PAT-tested kit. Prices start at £399 for 3 hours.

We have provided photo booths for school and college events including the Hadlow College summer ball (350 guests), the Bancroft’s School summer ball, the Sir John Lawes School summer ball at Beales Hotel in Hatfield and the University of Essex Students’ Union. Here is what we have learned.

Choose a booth that handles big groups

At a prom, friends want to pile in together. Our Super Booth takes up to 10 people at a time and is wheelchair accessible, which keeps the queue moving and makes sure nobody is left out.

Make sure prints are unlimited

Students will visit the booth more than once. Unlimited prints mean everyone goes home with a photo strip, and a guest book or memory stick gives the school a record of the night.

Safety, insurance and paperwork

  • Public liability insurance – we carry £10 million cover.
  • PAT-tested equipment that runs from one standard socket.
  • A uniformed attendant who stays with the booth the whole time.
  • Props suitable for a school audience.

Personalise it for your year group

Add the school name, year and date to every print, choose green-screen backgrounds, and share pictures to a password-protected online gallery after the event.

What does a prom photo booth cost?

Our 3-hour packages start at £399 Sunday to Wednesday and £425–£449 on Fridays and Saturdays, with travel included. Many schools find a midweek date or a PTA-funded booking keeps the ticket price down.
